Nobel Peace Prize Committee:
I have argued for months that Obama would be out of the running for the Nobel Peace
Prize he so much covets as soon as Israel strikes Iran's
nuclear facilities. In fact, Obama's actions are forcing Israel into such
a move, as he continues to appease Iran while demanding unreasonable and
unjustifiable concessions from Israel
that would result in the Jewish state’s eventual demise. Innocent civilians will be killed in any attack on Iran, and their blood will be on Obama's hands. He can prevent
disaster by dealing decisively with Iran
now and imposing sanctions that can help bring down its evil regime. But endless "negotiations" with no “pre-conditions”—except
for those demanded by Iran—will
do nothing but give Ahmadinejad more time to build his nuclear weapons.
And that is regrettably now the best case scenario,
with Israel attacking Iran
and inadvertently killing perhaps a few hundred civilians. If the indecisive Obama dawdles long enough, Iran will have nuclear weapons. How many innocent people will
suffer or starve if Ahmadinejad blocks the Strait of Hormuz? How many innocent Iranian citizens
will die if his regime continues to persecute dissenters, with other nations reluctant to interfere with a nuclear Iran? How many people will die if an emboldened Ahmadinejad
further encourages Hamas attacks on Israel?
How many innocent men, women, and children will be vaporized if Iran
drops the bomb on Tel Aviv?
The Nobel Peace Prize committee is naive and foolish. You have rewarded a man for having
done little more than deliver dozens of self-absorbed speeches attacking his own country while distorting its proud history
of rescuing millions of people from dictators and thugs disguised as “leaders.” He has insulted, ignored, and
turned his back on America's friends—Great Britain, France, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Honduras, and others—while
cuddling up with the likes of Hugo Chavez, Manuel Zelaya, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and giving the terrorists of Hamas assistance
in their killing via “humanitarian aid” to the Palestine Authority.
Obama is no man of strength. He lacked
the courage to stand up to Turkey in its opposition to the naming of the new NATO head simply because of a few cartoons in
a Danish newspaper—and needed French President Sarkozy and German Chancellor Merkel to help him develop a limited amount
of temporary backbone. Faced with a request for more troops to win the war in Afghanistan, he plays Olympics games while avoiding
a decision, waiting for focus groups to tell him what to do and for his juvenile advisors to read the book Lessons in Disaster. In the meantime, outnumbered American combat troops in remote outposts are attacked and killed
by the Taliban.
Obama is no man of wisdom. He chose to use the United Nations General Assembly to talk about himself—when
it was the perfect venue for announcing Iran's nuclear facility at Qom and denouncing Iran
for keeping it secret. He supports the former president of Honduras,
after he abused and disregarded his nation's constitution—with the help of the dictator Hugo Chavez. He considers dealing
with the “moderates” in the Taliban rather than accept that there are no moderates in the Taliban.
Obama is no man of justice. He states that police officers acted “stupidly” for confronting a man who neighbors
believed was breaking into a house. He insisted on inflaming racial tensions in a “teachable moment,” where it
was he who needs the lecture. And although he considered it appropriate to comment on that minor incident before he had many
of the facts, he has seen fit to ignore commenting on the plight of a young Ohio girl whose Muslim father has threatened her
with death for daring to convert to Christianity.
Obama is no man of peace, because dealing with the devil only serves
the devil. You on the Committee may believe that talking with armed thugs and despotic bullies is a path toward peace. It
is not. It is a highway to Hell. In any negotiation between good and evil, evil wins. Always.
Your granting of the
Peace Prize to Obama will only encourage him to continue his reckless behavior, while convincing the evildoers of the world
that they have nothing to fear from Western Civilization—which has foolishly replaced common sense with political correctness
and an all too eager ignorance of evil. It will encourage Obama to reduce troop strength in Afghanistan and give the enemies of the civilized world a victory. It will encourage
Ahmadinejad and adversaries like Kim Jong-Il to play Obama like a fiddle. While he believes his "talks" are making a difference,
they are laughing and secretly increasing the size of their arsenals.
Your ill-advised granting of the Peace Prize
will also encourage Obama to continue his destructive domestic policies—resulting in even more business closures and
unemployment, as well as the decimation of the confidence of the American people. Peace is more than simply being safe from
one's enemies. There is also no peace for a family that cannot find work and whose dreams for the future have been crushed.
Your
decision was as dangerous as it was foolish and naïve. Shame on you.
